Most of 2010 was spent in adjusting --

Most of the year was spent adjusting the work in the light of the economic situation. The work never stopped and the care of children resident in the houses and in the Day Care Centre continued – It was agreed by all the workers that the child care and support would remain priority and the last thing to be hit.

This meant that the workers took the cut backs and delays in salaries and employment. Workers looked for other means of support and engaged them leaving a skeleton staff. Development and all but essential maintenance was suspended.

This has become the pattern in Galati.
